ART REQUIREMENTS

Submitting art to ZT

Submit all artwork via e-mail as vector art files with all text converted to curves or outlines, the document color mode set to CMYK, and all colors called out as PANTONE® PMS® colors from the solid coated swatch palette.

When unable to send vector art, a resolution of at least 300 dpi is suggested for all GIF’s, JPEG’s, and TIFF’s [non-vector formats]. These files will incur an Art charge to convert the art to vector camera-ready art.

Preferred file formats

.AI – Adobe® Illustrator® [we prefer files saved to version CS5 or lower]

.EPS – Encapsulated Post Script

.PDF – Adobe® Illustrator® Portable Document Format

Acceptable file formats for four color process prints

.JPEG – Joint Photographic Experts Group

.PDF – Portable Document Format

.PSD – Photoshop Document [we prefer files saved to version CS5 or lower]

.TIFF – Tagged Image Format File

Note: These formats will NOT always be acceptable depending on the product being ordered and the quality of the submitted file.

Email the compressed files to art@ztpackaging.com

Be sure to have your company name and the word “art” in the subject line.

Fonts:

Please specify the name of the font used for the typesetting. All fonts must be converted to outlines and/or expanded.

File Retention:

Artwork and or plates retained in our files for a two-year period from the date of the last order. After that time, new artwork/ and or plates will be required. Media disks will be discarded after 30 days unless you have indicated on the purchase order that you would like the disk returned.

Trademarks

All copy or other materials submitted by customers for our use in producing items ordered will be accepted as fully compliant with all applicable laws regarding trademark, service mark, copyright, right of privacy, patent, or similar protection.

Adobe®, PANTONE® and PMS® are registered trademarks of their respective owners.

The better the quality of the artwork supplied to us, the better the final results will be.
